CONSERVATION

Tree Rows

Tree rows play an important role in conserving soil moisture in land where the wind is a constant factor. During the winter months they act as a snow fence gathering additional moisture for the spring melt to the adjacent fields.

Wildlife

Numerous sloughs support migratory waterfowl such as ducks and geese. In addition, partridge, pheasant, grouse, fox, deer, antelope, moose, coyote, rabbit, gophers, hawks, eagles and other animals enjoy the many areas of non-tillable land under our care.

Precision Farming

Technology has revolutionized farming in the present day. It has become much more effecient. Farmers can now target specific areas of each field with targeted amounts of nutrients to maximize the growth potential of each crop. This reduces the amount needed for those nutrients and maximizes the amount of carbon removed from the air. Efficiencies have been realized in the entire growth cycle of the crop from planting to harvesting to delivery.
